Is it necessary that I choose between coaching, Neuro-Linguistic Programming or hypnotherapy ?

No, these three disciplines are closely related and are descriptions of closely related approaches or therapeutic tools. Coaching is an accompaniment, which includes NLP and hypnosis. Everything depends only on what we really want, what we want to change in our attitude, our behaviors, beliefs, and especially the way we feel in our immediacy. We often use a combination of all three doing whatever is required to achieve the clients Goals or Outcomes.

How many sessions would I need ?

It is you who set the limits and decide the scope or duration of coaching. The perspective and techniques are brief and effective, strategic, change-oriented and outcome-oriented; average of one to ten sessions is required. Often only One or two sessions may be sufficient in some situations to solve a specific problem. Coaching supports you in your development, for the identification of objectives and projects for their updating. The therapeutic dimension is designated when addressing the consequences of past events.

How to explain the effectiveness of NLP techniques or hypnosis ?

These methods operate directly on how we perceive our realities, on how we picture these inside our head, our internal representations. They address the subjective structure of our reality. By working together with our conscious mind and the resources of the unconscious mind, these techniques change the way we have encoded our past experiences in our neurology. These are so-called “strategic” approaches that focus on the outcome, on our goals, as well as on the deep feelings of our experience in the present moment. Hypnotherapy makes it possible to reach a deeper layer of our being, the domain of the unconscious, with which we restore a proper communication or rapport, a natural harmony. Solutions are within us, often accessible by a simple change of perspective.

Will I have to talk about myself ?

It is not necessary to talk about your experiences for the techniques and tools of NLP to be effective. The focus is on how we imagine our reality and experience it. There is no need to understand the problems or difficulties to be able to solve them. NLP is a pragmatic, powerful and effective. We do not seek to analyze and change the “why” or the reason for an experience that is experienced. The goal of NLP techniques is to transform the “how” or the way we experience it, into experiencing it in an enhancing way and experience positively in the future. Past, present and future are mental concepts that allow us to organize our memories and lives, to give meaning to our experiences. and can be changed to our advantage.

Is the state of hypnosis (or hypnotic trance) a state of non-consciousness, or will I sleep ?

No, what distinguishes hypnotic trance is a state of deep inner relaxation, entirely natural, in which the verbal suggestions uttered by the operator are more easily accepted. It is necessary to remain awakened internally, even though this state of un-consciousness is associated with sleep. The hypnotized subject generally retains a total selectivity in all states of hypnosis, a certain level of consciousness in all trances, even the deepest ones.

Is everyone hypnotizable ?

Yes, unless you have very serious cerebral problems. The best hypnotic subjects are those who have great power of concentration and relaxation. They tend to be people with higher IQ, and who are not afraid of the concept of hypnosis.

Will I be under the influence of the therapist ?

No, no one can force you to do what you do not want. If something disturbs you during the session, you will instantly leave the hypnotic state.

What will I feel during hypnosis ?

It is difficult to generalize because we all have a unique individual experience. The experience can range from states of dreams to states of intense concentration, deep meditation and deep relaxation. The accent is given to your comfort, the experience of hypnotic trance is a particular experience and pleasant, which evolves.

What types of problems or symptoms are these techniques suitable for ?
